Friday's Favorites Fall Pt. 2

It has been a bit chilly here in Tucson and I am loving it! I have been able to wear a couple of my favorite sweaters and my comfortable ugg boots. We are getting ready to take our family pictures and I am trying to put together our wardrobe for it. I think we are going to wear jewel tones (plum, deep pink, navy). Here are a couple of my favorites that I have come across for the whole family.

1. For my girlies I am thinking either this sweater......

or this one. Both are from Old Navy.

For me, I was thinking this top from Old Navy

Or this sweater from American Eagle

For my cute hubby, I was thinking this puffy vest from Old Navy. I'm not sure if he will go for it, so just in case the other option is....

this button-up from American Eagle that would look mighty fine on him.

Happy Friday to you!

Friday's Favorites Fall Edition

I just love Fall! I love the smell in the air, fall clothes, anything pumpkin and the anticipation for Christmas! Even though I live in sunny Arizona I like to pretend I live in a cool, crisp place where the leaves really turn colors and fall to the ground. So, now that Halloween is past us, lets celebrate FALL! Here are a couple of my favorite Fall items.....

Bath & Body Works candle Leaves

I just love this scent. It smells what you think Fall smells like.

Old Navy Riding Boots
I just bought these a couple of weeks ago, (I bought mine in brown) and just love them!

Skinny Jean

I bought mine from Charlotte Ruse awhile back and just love everything about them. They are really leggings that look like jeans. They are so comfortable and stretchy and adorable. They go perfect with my new riding boots.

Happy Fall!

Friday's Favorites

My new favorite summer scent....

Apricot Vanilla from Bath & Body Works

Its a soft, sweet smell and it is just yummy.  This week their semi-annual sale is going on so it is a great time to stock up on fabulous lotion and soaps.

My Favorite Song these days....

Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift

A sweet song that makes me think of my precious girls.

My (new) Favorite Treat after a rough day....

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie  ice cream by Blue Bunny

I'm not really an ice cream fan.  But, this ice cream is too good.  I can't eat it by itself ( its just my issue with all ice cream)  but with a warm cookie (pizookie) straight out of the oven it is DIVINE!!!  You must try this ice cream!

Happy Friday!

Friday's Favorite's

Summer is officiallly here!  I'm excited that I am not pregnant this summer and can have fun with my kiddos outside (hopefully outside in our trying to grow grass backyard).

My list of Favorites this week have all been given the thumbs up from Grace & Mommy!

1.  How to Potty Train in Less than a Day

Grace just recently became potty trained (I think it was the beginning of April) and I read this book How to Potty Train in Less than a Day and it was the best book!  Grace totally got the concept in one day and it took about a a full week to have her complely potty trained (nighttime and all).  She still will have the occasional accident at Grandma's house when she is too busy playing with her cousins to remember to go, but other than that she was a breeze to potty train.
If you are needing to potty train a little one, I just recommend if you use this method, study it, be committed and don't look back.  Don't be wishy washy about it.  Yes, every child is different but this method works, you just have to do it!!!!!  I promise it works, you just have to know the right time for you and your child when you are ready to potty train.

2.  My 2 year old is a book worm!  Grace has always loved books, but within the past couple of weeks all, it seems like she is always carrying a book around with her.  Even, when we go to someone else's house she plays with the toys for a bit and then finds the books and wants me to read to her.  I'm not complaining one bit!  I love that she loves books.  I was the same way as a kid.  I hope it sticks with her.

This past week we signed Grace up for the Summer reading program.  Once she reads so many books (or has so many read to her :) she gets a free pass to the zoo!  This week we checked out some pretty cute books, but our favorite so far is

Ella.... The Elegant Elephant.

3.  The Movie Tangled

This is Grace's FAVORITE thing right now!  Everything is Rapunzle this and Rapunzle that.  She knows all the songs to the movie and pretends to spin around with long hair.  It is a great movie if you haven't yet seen it, which you probably have.

Wish me luck, tomorrow I run in my first official race.  My sister-in-law, Kimberly and I are running a 5k and I am very excited!

Friday's Favorite's

I promise I am working on some new projects!  Hopefully next week I will finish one so I can post it :)  This week my favorites are things that make my life just a little easier as a busy mommy.

1.  The Shark Steamer
This genius product cleans & sanitizes your floor using just water!  Pour water in it, plug it in and mop to your hearts desire.

First of all, let me admit that I am a little weird when it comes to germs.  After working in an elementary school it just changed me completely.  I started washing my hands 10x more than I used to and clorox wipes were my best friend (and still are).  So, when I saw this wonderful Shark Steamer I dreamed of it for months.  Especially, because I am NOT a fan of mops (they gross me out!) and I would clean my floors on my hands and knees.  Well, After doing this through 2 pregnancies, my sweet husband surprised me with one.  I love it! If you have a Costco card they are much cheaper there, than Walmart or Target.

2.  The Moby Wrap

Two of my sister-in-laws had bought one of these wraps for their babies and they both loved theirs and so when I was expecting my 2nd baby I thought it would be great to have.  My lovely aunt Julie gave me one as a gift and  I am forever grateful because it has been FANTASTIC!  When I have to run errands I put Grace in the stroller or shopping cart and Addyson in the Moby Wrap and both are happy as clams. You can carry your baby multiple ways and it helps distribute the babies weight so your back doesn't hurt while carrying them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Friday's Favorites

This week I celebrated my 28th birthday!  I cannot believe that I am 28!  I still feel 18.  Time is just flying by too quickly.  My sweet husband made me feel so special this birthday and surprised me with a couple of fun presents.  Which brings me to my first Favorite this week.....

1. Oreo Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory

Yes this cheesecake is expensive, but SO worth it for a special occasion.  Tyler and I went for the first time a couple of months ago, as our first date after having Addyson.  We got a couple of slices of Cheesecake to go so that we could share with our babysitter and the Oreo (cookies & cream)  was one that we brought home and ended up being our favorite.  So, since I am not a cake fan, Tyler got me a small cheesecake for my birthday.  It was divine!

2.  Forever 21 Jewelry

I love to accesorize with my outfits when I can.  I don't like to over do it, but just a simple bracelet or a pair of cute earrings can really brighten up an outfit.  I have found that Forever 21 has some really fun jelery that is easy on the wallet.  Don't get me wrong, it isn't the best quality but I don't really mind.  Here are some things that I recent;y got that were considered birthday presents :)

3.  My Mother's Day & Birthday present were combined this year since I got a pretty spectacluar present, which is.......

The Nikon d3100 ( a DSLR camera)

I was absolutley shocked when Tyler gave this to me!  I am just in love!  It is a smaller DSLR camera and it is more of an entry level camera, which means easier to use :)  I have been taking pictures of EVERYTHING!  Here is one from Mother's Day of me and my girls.

Happy Friday!

Friday's Favorites

Phew...It's FINALLY Friday!  Do you look forward to Friday as much as me?  Well, it has been a long week of errands, a teething baby, a sassy toddler and a busy hubby!  I am looking forward to this Mother's Day weekend and hoping for a date night.

To start off my Friday's Favorites I must admit that I have started to coupon!!!!!!  I have been wanting to for a long time and now that things are (semi) back to normal after having my second baby, I decided to start the ever infamous coupon fad.  I signed up for a monthly trial of Couponsense after talking to my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law.  I like it but it kills me to have to pay monthly for it.  So, after looking around on the internet, I found a website that I LOVE, called  Krazy Coupon Lady found HERE!  It is great!  I almost like it better than couponsense and its free. So, if you are looking for some ways to save here and there, check it out!

Another fav of mine is this wonderful shampoo & conditioner by Aveeno.

It smells good and it leaves my hair feeling SO healthy.  I have fine hair and it can get weighted down by certain shampoo & especially conditoner products, but this one is great.  The one I use is for Fine Hair that is color preserving.  I think they have one for mostiourizing, one for volumizing and one for nourishing.  I bought mine at my favorite store...TARGET for around $6.

Since I have a teething baby girl, this teething toy has been great!

My mom sent it for Addy in the mail a couple weeks back and she just loves it!  It is called Manhattan Toy Winkel.  It is great because it is easy for her to hold and it is colorful and you can put it in the fridge or freezer.  Thanks again, Mom!

Hope everyone has a Fabulous Mother's Day and you get pampered or just a little quiet time!

p.s. I was so excited to get featured on the amazing blog Under the Table and Dreaming for my Bow Tote Bag!  Go check it out.  (Once you click on the link you have to scroll down a bit and then you will see some craft ideas she chose to feature, including mine!

Friday's Favorites

I love reading on blogs what other people just LOVE and their must-have's!  So, I decided that I would TRY to share some of mine.  So......today my fav's are:

1. Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves Spray

I have semi-wavy hair and this stuff makes it even wavier without the dreaded crunch factor.  It leaves my hair soft and flowy and curly!  Plus...it smells great (a must for me)!

2.  Better Homes & Garden Scents

These little lovelies smell great & are super cheap ($2.00) at Walmart.

3.  E.L.F Make-up

I found this make-up at Target for $1!  I know, you are probably thinking, "yuck"!  It must be cheap quality and not worth it.  Just spend the extra couple dollars for something much better.  But, I have tried their the eyeshadow and it is fun and their make-up brushes are fabulous!  It is also nice to carry around in my purse so I can keep my nice make-up at home in a safe place (where a cute little 2 year-old can't get to it).

Stay Tuned for next week......My first Giveaway!
