What is Simplee Darling?

I would like to say that I am a simple girl, well in most areas of my life.  Whether it be fashion, decorating my home, a fun craft or cooking I like to keep it simple, up to date and well....darling!  Simple does not have to mean boring or drab.  I think of simple being easy to accomplish, fresh, clean and toned down.  I like to think if you can apply simplicity into different areas of your everyday life it can make you a better wife, mother and friend.

I have such a love for reading blogs, especially blogs that bring out my creative side.  I love to get ideas and put my own spin on them.  So, I have decided to come up with my own blog that is dedicated to the fine and simple things in life.  Here I will share yummy recipes, room makeovers, diy projects, easy crafts......you get the idea, right?  So, enjoy and hopefully you can grab some ideas and find them simple and darling :)

To start off this blog I am sharing a little diy project I did for our 1/2 bathroom.  It is still in the works, like every room in our home but I was looking for decorative towels that had a shabby chic feel.  I found a hand towel at Target (my favorite store) that had cute ribbon ruffles on them but of course they were like $10. I couldn't talk myself or my husband into spending that much on a tiny little towel so I decided to come up with my own version.  I found some white towels in my linen closet that I had never used and some pink ribbon.  The next thing I did was sew down the center of the ribbon and and pull the ends of the thread to give the ruffle effect.  Then, I just pinned the ribbon to the towel and then sewed down the center of the ribbon, again to attach it to the towel.  Pretty easy and pretty cute, I think!
